Concert: Aaron Wardell, Baritone and Paul Dykstra, Piano
Aaron Wardell, Baritone
Baritone Aaron Wardell has been praised for his rich, attractive voice and ease in versatile repertoire. He is in demand as a performer of opera, oratorio and concert in the Midwest and beyond. He regularly appears with Chicago-based groups including Chamber Opera Chicago, Chicago Fringe Opera and Haymarket Opera. Aaron completed his formal musical training at Western Michigan University, then attended the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music where he earned a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and an Artist Diploma certificate in Opera.
Paul Dykstra, Piano
Paul Dykstra began working as a conductor/pianist at a dinner theater in southern Wisconsin, and since moving to Chicago, he’s focused predominantly on his two loves — chamber collaborative piano and vocal accompaniment, especially song and operatic. Among his musical achievements are founding the Lira Symphony in Chicago and premiering the Weinberg Piano Trio in Warsaw at the Singer Festival.
