Countless research studies demonstrate the efficacy of music therapy for people with neurological disorders such as dementia, Parkinson’s disease, or those recovering from a stroke. The way music is processed and is used as an intervention gives so much opportunity for therapeutic goals to be addressed and reached to support optimal functioning in a variety of areas. Join board-certified music therapists Mia Iliopoulos, MM, MT-BC and Rebecca Freiman, MA, MT-BC from Greater Chicago Music Therapy to learn about what music therapy is and how it works for those with neurological disorders.
