Written by the French composer Hector Berlioz in 1830. It is an important piece of the early Romantic period. He put a great deal of emotion into the piece, exploring the extremities of many ends of the emotional spectrum. Brought to life by Ricardo Mutti and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra featuring Alexander Bedenko guest principal clarinetist.
