Sow the Seeds of Tzedakah at Selfhelp!

Together, we’ve built The Selfhelp Home into the only Jewish continuing care retirement community in the state of Illinois, earning The Joint Commission Seal of Approval for Assisted Living, Post-Acute Care, and Nursing Care.

Since 1938, we’ve evolved from a home for Holocaust survivors on Chicago’s south side to a home for all Jewish seniors on Chicago’s north side. A home that keeps alive the traditions of culture, kashrut, and community with stunning views of Lake Michigan and the world-famous Chicago skyline.

Together, we support this unique non-profit institution that offers world-class medical, nursing, and therapeutic care to our grandparents, parents, and ourselves as we age. In addition to the revenue Selfhelp receives from our residents, Medicare, and other sources, we rely on your financial support to continue our traditions of world-class care. We literally could not do our work without your partnership.
