Announcing Lisa Fingerhut Carlton as Chief Growth Officer

The Selfhelp Home appoints Lisa Fingerhut Carlton as Chief Growth Officer to lead strategic growth and partnership development

We are excited to announce the appointment of Lisa Fingerhut Carlton as Chief Growth Officer at The Selfhelp Home. This strategic appointment reflects Selfhelp’s commitment to building upon its 85-year legacy of excellence while ensuring a vibrant future for generations to come.

“Lisa’s unique blend of strategic business acumen and passionate commitment to Jewish community life makes her the ideal leader to help guide Selfhelp’s future,” says Austin Hirsch, Chairman of the Board. “Her proven track record in both corporate transformation and Jewish organizational leadership will be invaluable as we strengthen our mission for the next generation.”

Fingerhut Carlton brings over two decades of corporate leadership experience combined with a lived commitment to Jewish values and community building. “My growing desire to put my professional experience to work for the Jewish community led me to this meaningful opportunity,” says Fingerhut Carlton. “There has never been a more important time to continue Selfhelp’s legacy of providing a safe space and vibrant community for our seniors. I look forward to applying my expertise to advance this vital mission.”

The appointment comes at a pivotal time for Selfhelp, following the arrival of CEO Mark Dubovick in September 2024. Dubovick, who joined from The Admiral at The Lake, brings significant senior healthcare operations expertise to complement Selfhelp’s strategic growth initiatives. “Lisa’s strategic vision and deep understanding of Jewish communal needs will be instrumental in securing Selfhelp’s future,” says Dubovick. “Together, we will build upon our tradition of excellence while evolving to meet the changing needs of our community.”

Most recently, Fingerhut Carlton served as President of the Board of Directors at Congregation Sukkat Shalom, located in Wilmette, IL, where she led transformative change resulting in significant membership growth and enhanced financial stability. Her corporate experience includes over 20 years at McDonald’s Corporation, where she demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and organizational transformation.

Please join us in welcoming Lisa to the Selfhelp team!
