Visitor Policy During the COVID-19 Pandemic

General Visitor Information:

  • For all visits, please schedule your visit in advance using the Sign-Up- Genius: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0C4EAFA729ABFAC43-family
  • Please do not arrive early for your visit, we are doing our best to limit the number of people in the building
  • When you arrive, please wear a mask and head to the front desk for screening.
  • Masks are required for all visitors at all times. Residents and Visitors are required to wear masks at all times during the visit. Gator style and cloth masks are not allowed, we provide medical masks at the front door.
  • “Fully Vaccinated” means 14 days after the second dose of a two-dose vaccine, or 14 days after a single dose vaccine.
  • If you develop any symptoms within three days of your visit please let us know.

COVID-19 Testing for Visitors:

A rapid test WILL be requested in the following scenarios:

  • Visitors entering resident apartments on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th floors.
  • Visitors going to the 6th, 7th and 8th floors

Exemptions:
A rapid test will NOT be requested in the following scenarios

  • Visits taking place in the library and sanctuary.
  • You have had a COVID-19 test in the past 72 hours. Must show proof.
  • Visitors that are meeting with residents outside or in the lobby pod
  • Family members, essential caregivers and vendors that are here regularly and tested weekly or bi-weekly at Selfhelp. A list will be at the front desk.

Apartment Visits for IL/AL Residents:

Apartment visits are only offered to fully vaccinated visitors AND residents residing in an apartment in Independent Living/Assisted Living area (Floors 2-5). All other visits should be in the Library or Sanctuary or other designated common area.

  • Masking IS required during apartment visits. Please only wear a medical mask, we will provide this.
  • 3 visitors are allowed at one time, and do not need to be from the same household.
  • 1-hour scheduled visit slots are available. There are plenty of time slots to accommodate everyone.

Visits to Short-term Rehab and Skilled Nursing Residents:

Visits will take place in the library and sanctuary on the 1st floor or other designated common area. The skilled nursing and short-term rehabilitation floors are more restricted and we are taking extra precaution by continuing to host visits in the common areas for now.

  • Compassionate care visits for short-term rehab and skilled nursing residents are allowed.
  • In-room visits will continue on a case-by-case basis if the resident is not able to come to the designated visit area.

Visits in the Library/Sanctuary or other designated common area on the 1st floor:

For unvaccinated visitors and or residents:

  • The visit is limited to 3 people and do NOT need to be from the same household.
  • Physical touch is permitted (hugs)
  • Requires masking at all times.
  • 6ft. physical distancing should be observed.
  • Food and drinks are not allowed during the visit

For vaccinated visitors and or residents:

  • The visit is limited to 3 people and do NOT need to be in the same household
  • Physical touch is permitted (hugs)
  • Requires masking at all times (as of July 28, 2021)
  • Does NOT require physical distancing.
  • Food and drinks are allowed during the visit.
